The Assessment and Resource Centres (ARC’s) of Ontario are very excited to let you know we are having another HIDC:  High Incidence Disabilities in Higher Education Conference!  Save the date for March 30 and 31, 2022.  The conference will be held at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel (475 Yonge St.)  in Toronto and will be primarily in person, with some virtual components.

In addition, we would like to highlight our Call For Proposals.  The ARC’s are seeking proposals from multiple sectors (secondary, post-secondary, psychological service providers, medical and therapeutic providers, mental health agencies, accessibility service providers, policymakers etc.) with the aim of fully representing the transition to and life in post-secondary for students with disabilities.  As such, please feel free to distribute the information far and wide.

For those interested in submitting a proposal, it needs to be submitted directly to the website under the “Call for Proposals” section of the homepage.  You will then be taken to the Tickets section where you need to click the toggle to choose 1 ticket and then complete your proposal.   PLEASE NOTE the form times out after 25 minutes, so we recommend completing the requirements in a Word or word processing program first and then transferring the information to the site form.  All of the requirements can be found in the “Call for Proposals” Flyer (click here). Proposals will be due by midnight Friday, October 15, 2021, and successful presenters will be notified by November 1, 2021. 

Conference registration will begin at midnight on November 1, 2021– early bird rate will be available at that time.
